ABOUT
Tomás Rodríguez Gaspar is an author and photographer whose work explores identity and culture. He studied at the International Center of Photography in New York City. Born in California to immigrant parents, Gaspar draws on his heritage to tell stories of community and social change.
He published his first children's book, The Adventures of Yolanda / La Aventura de Yolanda, in 1974. In 1995, Ginger’s Book: An AIDS Primer was released, introducing the AIDS epidemic.
His latest book, Raising Generation HIV, is a photographic documentary about a family formed during the AIDS crisis, set for release in December 2026. On Amazon Books and Itaskabooks.com in January 2027. Order a signed copy here; available after December 12, 2026.
